Every month on the 22nd we welcome Irreverent Warriors, the veteran nonprofit that brings veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. The date is for the 22: their first Silkies Hike in 2015 was 22 kilometers with 22 pounds, one for each of the 22 veterans a day in that year’s VA report.

Founder & Co-Founder · The pack behind the bar
Two guys. Two branches. One war. We met in Helmand Province, Afghanistan — forged a brotherhood in the kind of conditions that don't let you be anything but honest. When we came home, life went all kinds of different directions. Then Derik had the idea, and Eric said yes. We built a house for the people who matter — veterans, neighbors, the pack. Named for Comet, Derik's wolfdog. Come have a beer.
We didn't set out to open a brewery. We set out to build a place where the people who matter could always find a seat. Named for Comet — Derik's wolfdog, who taught us what it means to run wild and loyal at once.
Meet the brewmaster

From the dirt in Helmand to the kettle in Sandy. Same man. Different mission.
Derik ran medicine for Marines in combat, then spent twelve-plus years learning every station of Utah craft beer — packaging floors to master brewer — before he and Eric opened Wolfdog. The path is his. The beer is the proof.
